Funding under threat

If you are concerned about losing community assets like libraries, swimming pools, parks and childcare centres you need to act now.

One thing you can do is write to you local state member and let them know you do not support this change and that you trust your council to plan and deliver community facilities for you and other residents without further interference from the state government.

It is vitally important that all the political parties understand how important this issue is to the community. The addresses of all the State Members are provided below.

Organise a petition
Another thing you can do is organise a petition against the proposed changes.
for an example.  Simply get as many signatures as you can and send in to the Planning Minister by the end of April 2008.

Remember if no one does anything these changes will go through unopposed.
Given the pressure already on facilities in your neighbourhood, can you really let that happen?
